M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbos

M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbos, painted in the same style the previous Shermans I did a while back. Models by Battlefront. New plastic .50 cals scrounged from the BF British Sherman V plastic kits: they are fantastic.

An entire division's allocation of Jumbos, which naturally you can field in a single Flames of War Company...thanks BF.

Shermans all week...

  1. I love how clean and crisp the colors are. It's really well done and that's why I admire your style.

  2. I try not to visit your blog too often, it truly points out how weakly I paint my own stuff. I'm always impressed by your work and can't wait to see more! I've used your tips and tricks to try and get my models a little more to where I like them to be! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Very nice. Top job as usual on these weather free beasts of war. cheers

  4. Ooh, I forgot to comment before. They look great! I love the air recognition tarps. I may do this for my British to tell platoons apart. What colours did you use for them?

    1. They were painted white, then a few glazes of red were applied over the white (when dry) to get the pink/cerise effect.
